Making Room

Using our Instagram (@hpengineeringclub) we plan to take attendance before the meeting. This will give us a rough estimate of how many people are coming to the meeting, that way we will have enough chairs. You can save your seat now by doing the following steps:
  • Follow @hpengineeringclub (Instagram)
  • Press on our logo (to see our "story")
  • Then press "COMING" or "ABSENT"
  • Lastly, tell a friend.

Purpose

The purpose of this club is to help HPHS students with an interest in engineering by:

  • Introducing them to the different fields of engineering through interaction with different engineering professionals

  • Participating in one group engineering project for entry into a local or national contest

  • Allowing students to network with people in the engineering field

Romelia Flores

Master Inventor and Distinguisher for IBM

Well, a lot. Hall of Fame recipient for her now 37 patents, Romilia Flores is one of IBM's top 500 technical executives, earning the titles of IBM Distinguished Engineer and IBM Master Inventor. She has collaborated with some of IBM's largest clients around technology innovation, and holds 37 patents with an additional 30 patents pending. She has worked with many of the company's largest clients around technology innovation.

Along with her many achievements, Flores has personally trained thousands of IBMers, and this year IBM is hiring 75 interns! Graduating college in only three years after changing here major twice, her education story is very amazing! Flores tells about her motivation and positive energy towards engineering.

Dues are $10 for the year and payable to Ethan Moss or Mitchell Price at the beginning of the meeting.  Please be sure to sign-in on the sign-in sheet when you arrive.
